A unique macro lens characterized by its impressive working distance, the AF Micro-NIKKOR 200mm f/4D IF-ED from Nikon offers life-size 1:1 magnification and a 1.6 minimum focusing distance for photographing close-up subjects at a comfortable distance. Benefitting this special design is an optical system that includes a pair of extra-low dispersion elements, which help to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing in order to achieve greater clarity and color accuracy. A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to lens elements and minimizes flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in bright or backlit conditions. Close Range Correction also helps to ensure consistent image quality and accurate rendering throughout the focusing range while an internal focusing design maintains the overall lens length during operation and promotes faster focusing speeds. Additionally, a rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
