Description
The EX-888 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan and Tilt Head from Velbon is a 2.8 lb aluminum support that has a load capacity of 3.3 lb. The head itself has friction control, which adds or decreases drag on the 360° rotation and also for the back-and-forth tilt. At a normal stance, the tripod has a height of 49.9″, but extending the legs 4-sections and geared center column, the tripod can reach a maximum height of 60.2″. With the legs fully splayed out, the center brace locks into place and provides extra stability. To transport the tripod, it folds down to 19.1″, and the support includes the QB-46 quick release plate.
